Maren Vogel is a German-Irish photographer who settled on the Wexford coast two decades ago and never quite left the shoreline. She works in the flat, even light of early morning, when the tide is out and the sand turns to a mirror. Her coastal work is patient and undramatic; she will wait days for the right grey sky. Maren also keeps a long-running series of pressed botanical studies, made on the kitchen table between tides.
